Several members volunteered their time and skills for this event. Local 300 members were working with the National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC) sorting and unloading donated food. In fact, Local 300 made a remarkable difference this year since our members provided experienced Forklift Operators. Leaders of the Food Drive stated that this made a remarkable difference from past years. Local 300 was not the only Union that offered to help, there were literally hundreds of members from other Unions that volunteered too. The Long Island Federation of Labor AFL-CIO also assisted in getting the help needed to HELP FEED THE HUNGRY!
